We’ve got spirits yes we do we’ve got spirits and some brews.

Happy birthday to us! Brokelyn has had so many swashblogging adventures over our five years that we could only celebrate with a big ol’ Homecoming-themed party tonight at the Bell House. In keeping with our mission to help you enjoy the best of the borough on a budget, we’re bringing you $1 Brooklyn Brewery beers (while supplies last, so get there early) and the chance to win thousands of dollars in prizes — including a brand-new bike, a BAM membership, tattoos and a high-end couples vibrator. Plus we’ve lined up a talent-show’s worth of entertainment: Scott Rogowsky, Danny Tamberelli, the Hungry March Band and DJ Brian Blackout spinning your favorite high school jams. Study up on your Brooklyn words and you can walk away with even more prizes in the spelling bee and dress your high school best so you can show your mom your photobooth picture.

Doors open at 7:30! You can still buy tickets ahead of time or nab them at the door. Here are our quick pro guide on how to ace the party arrival.  UPDATE! We’ve got $5 After School Special cocktails until 8:30 AND free rides home from Lyft too! Details below.

Get there early! Doors open at 7:30 and we’ll have $1 beers until the supply runs out. Entertainment kicks off at 8. Plus, you’ll get first dibs on raffle prizes.

Check out the extra curriculars
You can sign up for the spelling bee, the Hot for Teacher dance-off to select our homecoming court, where even more prizes await. You can even buy an exclusive Brokelyn varsity jacket and check out our sponsor, Golly magazine. Don’t worry, you can sign up for things throughout the night as you find some liquid courage.

Maximize the save-our-school raffle
With more than 20 prizes to win, you’ll have lot you want to enter: buy raffle tickets in bulk, it’ll save money and embiggen your chances of walking out a winner. We’ll be raffling them off throughout the night, and we’ll even post a schedule so you don’t miss your most coveted prize.

Dress your high school best
Sure you’ll look great in the Shootbooth photobooth. But while some schools hold a bake sale, ours has someone who will give out cookies to the best dressed. Think cheerleaders, jocks, nerds, groovy guidance counselors, Zacks Morris, Breakfast Club, etc.

Tickets: $12; buy them ahead of time; or get them at the door!

Official hashtag: #BrokelynHigh. Use it, McFly.

Need a ride?
The good folks at Lyft are offering up free rides home for the party! Enter BROKELYNHIGH under payments tab and new users will get a free pick up at the  Bell House (up to $25).

[all proceeds of ticket sales and raffle sales go to support the Brokelyn writers fund, to keep the site going for another 5 years and beyond]
