FRIDAY

7pm: put on your best specs for nerd nite trivia + presentations about bed bugs (ew!), laser weapons (p-chew! p-chew!) and dinosaurs (roar!) galapagos, $10-14.

8pm (thru 11/14): the band of puppets fest has artists pay tribute to david bowie with live ’80s-style music videos. bushwick starr, $12.8pm: tragedy: all metal tribute to the bee gees play their ‘last show ever’ (hey, didn’t they break up already?). brooklyn bowl, $7.

SATURDAY

6:30pm (thru 11/20): the zero film festival of self-financed filmmakers kicks off with 20 shorts and performances from asobi seksu, sherlock’s daughter and oberhofer. bonus: free booze! nutroaster studios. $12 adv, $15 door.

7:30pm: eagle street rooftop farms’ annie novak interviews katherine leiner about her book growing roots: the new generation of sustainable farmers, cooks, and food activists @ word, free

11pm: nerds + burlesque = nerdlesque. followed by strip scrabble! the brick, $10.

SUNDAY

12-7pm: beta spaces’s one-day festival features the work of 400+ artists in galleries, mobile trucks and smartphone apps. bushwick, free.

1-4pm: $10 gets you three slices of pie and free drinks (milk and beer) at the second annual brooklyn pie bake-off benefit at spacecraft
