FRIDAY

7pm: the l magazine’s audiophile at the brooklyn museum concludes with theophilus london + a special guest. bonus: free vodka 7-8pm. free (rsvp) with $10 suggested museum admission.

8pm (gates open 6:30pm): celebrate brooklyn! kicks of the season with andrew bird. arrive early! prospect park bandshell, free ($3 suggested donation).

10pm: sing-along with common people! belt out your favorites tunes at the return of the 90s sing-along at legion, free.

SATURDAY
11am-4pm:
free kayaking at brooklyn bridge’s pier 1 opens for the season

11am-late: brooklyn pride’s 15th annual celebration features a street festival, a 5k run, happy hour specials, and a parade along park slope’s fifth ave. after-parties abound!

2-8pm: williamsburg walks returns! bedforf ave from n. 4th to n. 11th closes to traffic and opens for a giant picnic, human scrabble, walking tours, music, more.

5:30pm: coheed and cambria, adrian belew power trio and tigers jaw perform as part of the williamsburg waterfront concert series, free

10pm: bushwick balkan brass band blowout! performances from raya brass band, slavic soul party, veveritse, more. the morgan (25 bogart st.), $10 adv, $12 door.

SUNDAY
1-6pm: the fourth annual red hook jazz festival gets under way at the urban meadow (president + vanbrunt), $5

3pm (+ 7/3, 8/14, 9/11): east williamsburg’s lady jay’s hosts the ‘kings county cookout,’ with $5 bbq plates (entree + 2 sides) and live country tunes from the dixons. 633 grand, bet. leonard + manhattan, free.

3-9pm: mister sunday with eamon + justin returns this week with more grub, locally brewed drinks and tunes. gowanus grove, $10 adv, $12 door.

ALL WEEKEND
11am-7pm: the 7th annual renegade craft fair features hundreds of indie vendors from around the country. bonus: free workshops! mccarren park, free.

governors island is overrun w. tons of participatory artwork and performances for figment. free.
