Thru Sun:
The L magazine’s Northside Festival takes over North Brooklyn: 30+ venues, dozens of galleries,  hundreds of bands. Free-$19.

SATURDAY
Thru Sun:
Enjoy a car-free Bedford Ave filled with music, skill-sharing, walking tours, a picnic, more at the Williamsburg Walks street festival.

Thru Sun: 6th annual Afro Punk Fest: bmx, art, skating and live music (including biggies Bad Brains and 24-7 Spyz). Fort Greene’s Commodore Barry Park, $20.

12pm-10pm: Hip-hopper Common headlines the Fort Greene Festival, with performances by Zap Mama and Soul II Soul’s Caron Wheeler. Rosie Perez, Malik Yoba, and Touré share hosting duties. $5 suggested donation.

6-10pm: “Keep calm and wobble on” at the 2010 Jell-O Mold Competition. Gowanus Studio Space, free/$5 suggested donation.

SUNDAY
11am-6pm:
Stinkfest is back at the Smith Street Fun Day Street Fair! Booze, olde-tyme bands, and Stinky Bklyn’s 4th annual cheese-eating contest. Mmm… cheeese.

12-5pm: 45+ local food vendors sell their delicious creations at the 2010 UnFancy Food Show (Marlow and Sons, People’s Pops, SCRATCHbread, Robicelli’s Cupcakes, tons more). Performances from Andy Laird of Nunu Chocolates and The Dixons. $2 12-oz Brooklyn lagers! Bell House, $5.
