This 4BR brownstone in Bed-Stuy / Bushwick looks pretty damn nice

What day is it today? Friday? Monday? Apartment-hunting day? Why, yes, that it is. In belated honor of July 4, here’s an apartment for rent that offers independence from broker’s fees, among a ridiculous number of other  amenities. Let’s start with the fact that you get an entire newly renovated brownstone in Bed Stuy for $3,350, now only $3095! It’s a 4BR / 3 bath beaut on the Bushwick border. Apparently, it’s also got a deck, yard access, and the listing says it’s near  Lone Wolf, Athom Cafe, Goodbye Blue Monday , Roberta’s and Peaches Hothouse. Also, “a washer/dryer, dishwasher, whirlpool bath, wood floors, plentiful bike lanes and a bikeshare station (soon).”  Also, Bill, the landlord, reads this here web mag: “I love Brokelyn and I would love to rent the place to some brokesters,” he told us in an email. He could be your new landlord. Snatch it before we move in. Here’s the listing.

Talk about exaggeration! At that address, the only way you’re “near” Roberta’s and Hothouse, is on a bike. They are both 10+ blocks from that address. Sucks to see a brownstone stripped of its original detail. Great to be that close to a subway stop though.

Hey Melissa – the listing states that Peaches and Roberta’s are walkable. I think it’s ~15 minutes, definitely doable for a night out.

This isn’t the entire brownstone. It’s the upper duplex (parlor floor and the one above it). I assume the landlord/another tenant lives on the garden floor. Looks like a nice enough apartment though, if a bit overpriced for the area/lacking original details.
