Holiday memories are washing away faster than the mound of grey snow at the end of our block, but we’re sure you discovered some great gifts from local merchants to give out. The shops on Fifth Avenue in Park Slope are betting you’ll keep spending locally this winter, and they’re putting up $1,800 in prizes. Between today and Valentine’s Day, every time you spend at least $14 at any of the participating businesses, you get a raffle ticket for the BID’s Spending Spree Raffle. First place wins $1,000, with $800 for second and $500 for third. Participating businesses include Cog & Pearl; Red, White and Bubbly; S’Nice, and many more.
