Red Hook is now an offshoot of Central Park, apparently. Which is fine by us, because these free Central Park Summer Stage shows coming to our own backyard this summer will save us the trip on the horrid canister of sweat and Axe body spray that is the subway through midtown in the summer. The shenanigans kick off tonight with local half-serious rappers Das Racist (Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, etc), returns Thursday with Deer Tick and then again next week with a comedy show by Hannibal Burress, aka one of the funniest people in all of Brooklyn.
