(UPDATED 2/3 with final flash sheet above.) Among less positive developments, the first month of 2017 has seen some of the most creative Planned Parenthood benefits of all time, and now a discounted female-empowerment tattoo pop-up salon is joining that list.

The event, Tattoo to Protect Your Parts: A Planned Parenthood Affair, is happening Feb. 8 at Greenpoint’s Magick City. It’s a combination tattoo pop-up and dance party, where you can choose from $40 flash sheet tattoos, all designed with a feminist aesthetic by artists at Williamsburg’s Magic Cobra Tattoo Society, with all the proceeds going to Planned Parenthood. Offered on a first-come, first-served basis; you can see some of the designs above and the flash sheet’s final 20 designs will be posted on the Party to Protect Facebook page prior to the event.

“The tattoos we’ve designed are pretty empowering,” artist Adam Korothy told us, “we all contributed.”

The designs are black and white and the artists are only inking arms, legs, and shoulders. The artists are accepting cash only, 100 percent of which will be donated to Planned Parenthood.

No appointments are being accepted, so come early and wait your turn. The artists will commence tatting at 2pm and ink their last piece before 7, at which point the party will transition next door to Saint Vitus.

There’s no cover for the tatting portion, but the party at Saint Vitus, costs $15 and it’s 21+ (you only need to be 18+ to participate in the event’s tattoo portion). The dance party will go from 7pm (doors at 6:30pm) to midnight and tickets are available online.

Saint Vitus’s will feature performances by Bunny Buxom and Anja Keister among others. There will also be raffle prizes.
