Summer festival season is in full swing and we’re soaking up as many outdoor concerts as we can — without leaving the five boroughs, of course. And lucky for us, we don’t have to go far to experience one of the best festivals of the summer: NYC is about to be home to a major new festival: Panorama.
Goldenvoice, the folks behind Coachella, are bringing the first-ever Panorama festival to Randall’s Island July 22, 23 and 24 and it’s got one of the most stacked festival lineups we’ve ever seen: Headliners Kendrick Lamar, Arcade Fire and the freshly reunited LCD Soundsystem are backed up by Run the Jewels, Flatbush Zombies, The National, Sufjan Stevens, Alabama Shakes, The Julie Ruin, Broken Social Scene and a whole bunch more.
Tickets for three-day passes start at $319, and one-day passes at $99, but we’ve got the hookup for you: Brokelyn is giving away a pair of three-day VIP passes AND a pair of three-day general passes, just for you! Here’s how to enter.
In addition to the music, the food lineup has just been announced featuring some of NYC’s best restaurants on site (such as Roberta’s, Dough and more); plus you can check out The Lab, presented by The Verge and powered by HP, an interactive experience that combines technology, artistry and design, created exclusively by New York-based artists. The Lab, designed and curated by META.is, places experiential digital art at the heart of the festival with seven interactive installations and a massive 360 virtual reality theater, like a playground of music and technology for Panorama attendees.
1 — Make sure you’re signed up for our email list if you haven’t already (it’s fun and not spammy, we promise: we send you events listings, headlines and cool free ticket offers, like this!). You have to be on our email list to qualify; we’ll verify you are before picking winners.
2 —Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “Panorama X Brokelyn” by Sunday (7/10) at midnight. We’ll randomly select a winner and let you know on Monday.
VIP tickets get you expedited VIP entry, a VIP viewing area & lounge at each stage, air-conditioned comfort station restrooms, access to additional premium food options, access to private bars featuring spirits, and a private hospitality area with amenities and concessions. Not bad!
FWIW, this author went to Coachella three times from 2004-2006 and had a blast (this was before it was such a “thing”). And he also happened to see both Kendrick Lamar and LCD Soundsystem in the past few months, and both were the closest thing to musical religion you could ask for.
We already decided Panorama was a better value than a certain other Randall’s Island fest, so imagine how much value you’ll get for free tickets.
