Spend some time with the mustaches of ‘Mad Men’

Look, we’re not going to sit here and pretend that Brooklyn invented the mustache, and therefore claim that Mad Men “went Brooklyn” or anything like that. On the other hand, the real stars of last night’s season premiere were the mustaches. Roger Sterling had one, which makes sense in his quest for eternal youth. Ted Chauogh had one too, which made less sense, but it did make him look sadder, which seems like his bit. With the show entering an era of facial hair that has had a profound impact on the looks you see around Brooklyn today, let’s take a moment to revel in the mustaches of Mad Men, because without mustaches like these, you may never have seen the ridiculous one you saw on someone out at the bar this weekend.

The mustaches were ultimately too funny to make us take the sexy happenings at Sterling Cooper Draper McCann Cutler Chaough Erickson all that seriously. Sadly, we think the writers might have known that, because [SPOILER ALERT] the “next week on Mad Men trailer at the end made it look like Roger shaved his mustache.
