Water returns to the McCarren Park Pool for the first time since your pappy was wearing cut-offs.

There is actually water in McCarren Pool for the first time since 1984! A reminder that in just one week from today, the free, public McCarren Park Pool will reopen for all you hot, sweaty, refreshment-seeking north Brooklynites. Curbed snapped a few preview shots to prove that it’s all really happening. A whole new era in Brooklyn summers begins? And after that, you’re of course coming to the Brokelyn Summer Camp party for more cooling down with drinks, free beer and prizes, right? Holy crap, it IS like summer camp!
