L yeah: MTA adding more L train service this winter

We give the MTA a lot of shit around here, and while we’d like to say we’re sorry, we can’t in good conscience do that. One thing we can do is give them props for doing something good, so we’ll gladly share their announcement that a bit more L train service is coming in December. The MTA is ADDING service and not cutting it? Now we’ve seen everything.

Sure, there’s no guarantee that you’re even alive by the time December rolls around or that you’ll live here, but if you manage to make it, you’ll be able to take advantage of extra L train trips. The MTA is adding seven round trips between 10:30am and 2pm starting in December, which according to them will mean you won’t be waiting for an L for longer than five minutes in that timeframe. Sure if you’re one of the people crushed in like sardines during rush hour you’re probably thinking it’s no big deal, but if you’re one of those people who’s habitually running late for your Trader Joe’s job and relies on the L train, it could be a big help.

There’s also more help coming to North Brooklyn in the form of expanded M train service, with one round trip being added to the M between 9am and 9:30am. So you’ll still be late for work if you’re relying on catching that one, but maybe you won’t be as late.
