Morty…Morty…calm down, don’t worry it’s gonna [BELCH] it’s gonna be great

We’re living in a pretty great age of cartoons for adults at the moment, and while there’s obviously always room for argument, we think that Rick and Morty is at the top of the mountain of great animated shows. Adult Swim’s tale of a drunken, drug abusing mad scientist and his grandson’s travels through the universe and multiverse manages to be weird and touching and hilarious all at once. It comes as no surprise to us that the folks at Videology’s great taste extends to this show as well, so tonight they’re devoting an evening to watching AND drinking along with Rick and Morty. Wubba lubba dub dub yeahhhhh!

If you know what “wubba lubba dub dub” actually means, then this Rick and Morty night is for you. That’s because in addition to watching Rick and Morty, there’s going to be trivia for those of you who have encyclopedic knowledge of the show’s season and a half of weird adventures.

If you’re not big on trivia, don’t worry about that because there’s plenty more going on during the totally FREE evening. The plan for the night at Videology (308 Bedford Avenue) is to screen an episode from the show’s first season at 9pm, and follow it up with the newest episode of the second season, with the trivia in between. In solidarity with Rick making alcoholism look so fun, there’s also going to be a drinking game to go along with the episodes, so make sure you’ve had something to eat before you head over there. No one likes to play a drinking game on an empty stomach, even if you’ve got a portal gun you can stick your head in while you throw up.
