Sad about missing the 90s swing revival? Or live through it and now you’re full of juking jazz moves that you never have any reason to use? Well have we got great news for you: the Brooklyn Public Library is inviting you to come swing tomorrow night, and strut your salsa stuff next Wednesday night.

The Plaza Swing series consists of two nights of music in front of the beautiful Central Library at Grand Army Plaza. Tonight would have hosted jazz group Mona’s Hot Four, but the lousy stupid rain caused the library to push it back a night to tomorrow, Thursday, July 11. If you can’t swing, don’t worry, someone will be there to teach you some dance moves at 6:30p, before the band kicks off at 7.

If salsa is more of your thing, show up next Wednesday to catch the Pablo Stagnaro Quartet, who’ll be busting out grooves of the sala, timba, bolero and cha cha variety. The same deal with the dance lessons applies, so really, don’t worry: you can’t possibly look worse swinging or doing the cha cha than say, a child.
