getgeeked New York, a unique new tech event that launched last fall, is returning to New York this week — and this year it’s at the Brooklyn Expo Center in Greenpoint.

The open-to-the-public tech fest takes place on Thursday (Oct. 15) from 7:30pm to 10pm and not only is it free — including conference sessions — there are loads of chances to win new gear from more than 45 companies.

Sponsors include Lenovo, HP, JVC, and Slingbox as well as startups like iFit, Bevy, VidMob, BeON Home, Leeo, and lots more. See the gear on getgeeked’s What You Can Win page, and check out the discounts you can get on products for purchase. (Of course, there will be plenty of top-shelf swag, too.)

If you consider yourself tech-savvy — or aspire to be — don’t miss getgeeked. Unless you already have a Bluetooth connected sonic toothbrush with 3D motion sensors?
