So many bikes, so little money. At least some of them will be cheaper than usual. via Facebook

Just because the temperatures will start dropping soon and you’ll have to start wearing sweatshirts and (eep) jackets, doesn’t mean you should stop riding your bike. That’s just what the Car Lobby wants. And hell, fall is a perfect time to buy bikes or bike accessories, or at least it seems that way, because Ride Brooklyn is having a giant sale for Labor Day weekend starting Thursday.

Every kind of bike-related item you could think of will be discounted during the Labor Day sale, from wheels to clothing to parts, with everything coming in at least 15% off and clothing getting as high as 50% off. And you need clothes when you’re riding in the fall, which is why it’s worse than summer. Oh, and the bikes too! Bikes in the stores will also be on sale, with up to 30% off regular bikes and up to 40% off of road bikes.

The sale lasts from Thursday, August 28 through Monday, September 1 and will be happening at both Ride stores, in Park Slope (468 Bergen Street) and Williamsburg (50 North 7th Street). It’s worth it to buy a bike or outfit your bike even now. Take it from us, if you keep biking through the fall and winter, you gain strength for the spring and summer. It’s just science.
