Outings

Tonight, a panel seeks to find out: What’s this Brooklyn thing all about?

Somehow this part of Brooklyn never gets covered.

You guys, I hate to break it to you, but after this week, the secret is totally out about Brooklyn (yes, that sentence just arrived in a smoking Delorean from 1999). But what is it about Brooklyn that make it so … endlessly fascinating (and trend-piece worthy) to the outside world? I mean, besides mayonnaise and becoming an adjective. Throw this kids in the city a bone tonight as they try to figure out the answer: Gelf Magazine’s latest Non-Motivational Speakers Series tonight focuses on the Brooklyn question: “Is life across the river really that rad?” The panel features our own Sue Smith and Eric Silver (stars of their Brokelandia series) and Rob Michael Hugel, star of his own I Hate Being Single series.

Sue and Eric were also interviewed in Gelf Magazine this week on why “the coolest place on earth has its flaws” (Gelf’s words).

The panel is at The Gallery at Le Poisson Rouge, 158 Bleecker St. Doors at 7pm.
