If only you could hit a lock button on the weather app and keep New York City as it is: a sunny, slightly crisp but not chilly enough for that bulky jacket. But you can’t, and the city will soon be miserable and you won’t believe you ever left the apartment without AT-AT transport. Here’s a chance to still enjoy the outdoors: starting Wednesday, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden will be FREE on weekdays during winter hours (8am-4:30pm Tuesday-Friday; 10am-4:30pm on Saturday and Sunday). It beats the $10 regular price and means your withering windowsill basil won’t be the only foliage you see until April.
