Foodies and farmers unite! Brooklyn Food Conference this Saturday

If you were wondering where you can get your FREE fix of food politics, fracking, and locally sourced and produced organic vegan artisanal pickled items in mason jars (it’s all connected, MAN), then head on over to Brooklyn Tech this Saturday, May 12, to check out the Brooklyn Food Conference
Speakers at the conference come from a wide range of backgrounds, from the Coalition of Immokalee Workers to the New York City Council, and include a physicist, an eco-chef and an author that Rush Limbaugh personally insulted. This is legit. The sponsors listleads us to believe that we could probably subsist on samples alone, but there is an $8 lunch for those of us who like eating things on plates instead of toothpicks.
Follow Rachel on Twitter at @rachelevestein as she traverses the Conference in search of affordable vegan nosh and buttons with civic-minded, yet snappy, quotes.
