Wednesday Night Tours: Park Spotlight- DUMBO Waterfront History
Jun 29, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm| $10
In the 19th century, DUMBO was the heart of Brooklyn’s bustling commercial and industrial waterfront. On this tour, we will dive into the rich history of the now-converted warehouses and factories that define this neighborhood, and touch on stories about the many goods, people, and ideas that came in and out of the port from all over the world. We will also discuss the remaking of the neighborhood by artists and developers since the 1970s. Led by Julie Golia of the Brooklyn Historical Society.
Please note that admission is $10 for the general public and $5 for BBPC members. Tickets are nonrefundable. The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy reserves the right to cancel due to extreme weather conditions.
