Produced by dapperQ, in collaboration with bklyn boihood, Posture Magazine, and DYDH Productions, the Verge queer fashion show will feature eight designers whose work is systemically rooted in notions of gender nonconformity and its intersections with race, ethnicity, and culture.

☆ Runway beats by DJ M.O.
Hailing from Virginia, DJ M.O. (born Monet Bernard) began her career at the University of Virginia in 2008, DJing numerous parties and events around the campus and within the Charlottesville community. After graduating, M.O moved on to play venues in Washington, D.C, and northern Virginia. Currently, M.O. has set her sights on New York City, already landing gigs around Manhattan with the likes of Whitney Day, Truckstop NYC, & Queer & Utter Bedlam. As an avid lover music and an overall good time, M.O. brings a unique style to every party she plays. Whether its Hip-Hop, Top 40s, or Dance, M.O. sets the tone with inventive mixes and a knack for reading every audience.

Tiq Milan has strategized with national news media outlets about fair and accurate reporting on transgender people and is a national spokesperson discussing the latest developments in transgender rights. He has been featured on CNN’s Reliable Resources, The Katie Couric Show, MSNBC’s Ronan Farrow Daily, Steven Petrow’s, “Civilities,” MTV News, NewsNation with Tamron Hall, Out There with Thomas Roberts, and is a regular contributor on HuffPost Live. Tiq’s work has been recognized byEbony.com, BET.com, and the Trans 100 List, among many other acclaimed media outlets and national organizations.
