What your screenplay needs most is an audience. Participants will experience what it’s like to workshop a script in a professional setting. Modeled will be approaches to critique, restructuring, and revising written work. Participants takeaway workshopped versions of their screenplay and tools and techniques for taking it through to completion.
Through real-world examples from professionals working in the field, participants will gain a deep understanding of how a script moves through revisions and towards a final draft.
Modeled in the class is a collaborative approach to creative thinking a critique used successfully in the field.
Students individually forward their personals projects and receive invaluable feedback and the information necessary for taking the next steps in development.
Students will have the opportunity to meet and network with other writers at the same juncture in the creative process.
Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive feedback unique to their personal projects from peers and professionals.
Prerequisites & Preparation:
No Prereqs. Participants are required to arrive with a first draft of a screenplay for either a short film, a pilot, or 1-3 scenes from a feature of theirs.
