The Way Station Turns 4!

Feb 25, 2015 @ 8:00 pm - Feb 26, 2015 @ 12:00 am

| Free

Join The Way Station as we celebrate FOUR YEARS of award winning drinks and “a truly intimate musical experience” (Yelp.com) on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 8PM-12AM. Commanding the stage at 9PM will be the guitar looping alchemist Eric Vitoff, a Long Island native and currently a Brooklyn resident. Vitoff’s tunes toe the imaginary line between the genres of house/dance and acoustic singer-songwriter. Equipped just with an acoustic guitar and some effects pedals, he builds pulsing, colorful beats that make your feet move and your mind wonder just where all those sounds are coming from. Highlighting the evening from 10PM-12AM will be America’s New Swing band, Joe Benjamin & a Mighty Handful, a collective of 11 New York City musicians. With the help of the arranger Martin Seiler and the influences of Freddie Mercury, Frank Sinatra and Roger Cicero, this bands’ vision is to bring Swing Music into the 21st century. Joe Benjamin combines these music styles and themes of everyday life into an energetic live show with plenty of swing dancing. Featuring drink specials, giveaways, and $5 Jameson all night long. There’s never a cover at The Way Station, but we do suggest a $5 donation per set.
