The Review Panel

Feb 9, 2016 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Brooklyn Public Library is the new host for The Review Panel, the storied forum for critical debate about contemporary art. Moderated by David Cohen of the online art magazine artcritical.com, The Review Panel brings together four critics and a live audience to discuss current art exhibitions around New York. Founded in 2004, the Review Panel has run continuously at art academies and museums in New York and Philadelphia since then. Brooklyn Public Library is the new flagship for the program, which will meet monthly during the art season (September through June).

The first panel meets February 9, 2016, to discuss Katherine Bradford’s Fear of Waves and Elizabeth Kley’s Ozymandias, on view at Canada; Charles Harlan’s Flood, at Pioneerworks; and Glenn Ligon’s We Need To Wake Up Cause That’s What Time It Is, showing at Luhring Augustine. The members of the panel are author Siri Hustvedt, New York Times art critic Roberta Smith and Brooklyn-based artist Alexi Worth. Free with RSVP.
