COME JOIN US FOR AN EVENING OF POETRY, SPOKEN WORD PERFORMANCE, and REFRESHMENTS AT THE LEONARD LIBRARY, WILLIAMSBURG

Since February is the month of love, our first “Library After Dark” event will address the themes of love, sex, and relationships. Refreshments will be served for a recommended donation of $5 to help support the library’s friends group and our activities.

Featuring:
Geoff Kagan-Trenchard is a nationally recognized poet and theater artist. His work has been featured on HBO,  All Def Poetry, TEDx, and Upworty. His poems have been published in published in numerous journals including Word Riot, Muzzle, Union Station Magazine and Freeze Ray. He has received commissions for theatrical work from the National Performance Network, Dance Theater Workshop, The Zellerbach Family Foundation, and the City of Oakland. He is also a lawyer with

Tommy “Teebs” Pico was a Queer/Art/Mentors inaugural fellow, 2013 Lambda Literary fellow in poetry, and has poems in BOMB, Guernica, the Offing, and elsewhere. Originally from the Viejas Indian reservation of the Kumeyaay nation, he now lives in Brooklyn and co-curates the reading series Poets With Attitude (PWA) with Morgan Parker. He writes about the American colonial legacy, alternative histories, queer relational dynamics, nature, and pop culture @heyteebs

Ross Goodwin is a creative technologist, artist, language hacker, data scientist, current MPS candidate at NYU ITP, and former Obama administration ghostwriter.
