TASTE OF HOME is back and bringing the NYC food and philanthropic communities together for Housing Works’ popular chefs’ tasting and culinary charity benefit on Thursday, June 4th. Join Honorary Chair Ruth Reichl (Editor at Large at Random House, Author) and Hosts Alex Guarnaschelli (Executive Chef at Butter, Author and Television Personality), Sam Sifton (Food Editor at New York Times), and Brooks Headley (Executive Pastry Chef at Del Posto, Author, Owner of Superiority Burger) at the Housing Works Bookstore Cafe to celebrate the delicious and diverse cuisine and cocktails from chefs, restaurants, and spirits, beer and wine purveyors who have pledged their commitment to Housing Works, a beloved NYC nonprofit that provides a healing community for people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. All proceeds from Taste of Home supports Housing Works’ fight to end AIDS and homelessness.
The Taste of Home benefit invites New Yorkers to sink their teeth into an array of bites and drinks from an impressive roster including Jody Williams, Buvette, Via Carota; Carlo Mirarchi, Blanca, Roberta’s; Caroline Fidanza, Saltie; Francis Derby, The Cannibal/Resto; and Joe Tarasco, Marta.
Taste of Home is being held on Thursday, June 4th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (VIP early access admission starts at 6:00 p.m., General admission starts at 7:00 p.m.) at the Housing Works Bookstore Cafe at 126 Crosby Street in New York City’s SOHO neighborhood. General Admission tickets are $125 in advance (a limited number of “early bird” tickets are available for $100 for the first week of sales until May 6th, while supplies last) and include all of the food and drink tastings; VIP Admission tickets are $250 in advance and includes early entry at 6:00 p.m. for a meet and greet with Chefs and hosts, along with hors d’ourvres from a special guest not offered during the main tasting event.
