Gideon Rose
Gideon Rose was appointed Editor of Foreign Affairs in October 2010. He was Managing Editor of the magazine from 2000-2010. He has also served as Associate Director for Near East and South Asian Affairs on the staff of the National Security Council and Deputy Director of National Security Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations, and has taught American foreign policy at Princeton and Columbia. He is the author of How Wars End (Simon & Schuster, 2010).

Alexis Wichowski
Alexis Wichowski is a media analyst and adviser in the Office of Press and Public Diplomacy at the US Mission to the United Nations, where she advises on public diplomacy and social media for the mission and its ambassadors. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs. A former Presidential Management Fellow, she has worked with various State Department offices focused on diplomatic use of technology, including the Office of eDiplomacy and the Secretary’s Office of Innovation.

Mattathias Schwartz is a contributing writer at the New Yorker. He won the 2011 Livingston Award for International Reporting.
