On the second Thursday of every month, comedian and author Bob Powers (frequent New Yorker and McSweeney’s contributor and author of Happy Cruelty Day) hosts the city’s best humor writers for a night of wine-addled, text-based hilarity. This month’s lineup features Adam Wilson (author of the new story collection What’s Important Is Feeling and the novel Flatscreen), Hillary Rea (comedian and storyteller, Moth Storyslam winner and host of Tell Me A Story and Fibber), Jason Diamond (founder of Vol1Brooklyn and books editor at Flavorwire), as well as readings from The Portlandia Activity Book, published by McSweeney’s and counting Bob Powers himself among the contributors.
