| $3
Sal at Freddys 1 June 2012

A return of the acoustic and electric spectacular at the fall art show opening at BWAC, The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition in Red Hook. Spaghetti Eastern Music is the solo project of NYC guitarist, keyboardist and singer Sal Cataldi. Cataldi fuses Eastern beat and funk-influenced guitar instrumentals with acoustic vocal tunes, Followed by a performance by Rome 56, with Kathy and Artie Lamonica, he the key songwriter from Brooklyn’s legendary punk pop band, The Shirts. Time Out New York writes: “Cataldi’s largely instrumental, Eastern-influenced jams are infused with some delicate guitar work and hauntingly moody atmosphere,” while The New York Times proclaims Cataldi has “a beat unmistakably his own.” Called “truly excellent” by The Village Voice, “triumphantly funkified” by UPI and “wonderfully melodic and off-center” by WFMU’s Irene Trudel. His critically-acclaimed new album “Sketches of Spam” and more info is available at www.reverbnation.com/spaghettieasternmusic
