Chef Andrew Tarlow, of Diner and Marlow & Daughter, will be the the recipient of our fourth annual “Snailblazer” Award, given to leaders in the farm-to-table movement who have made a significant contribution to a local, sustainable, and fair food system.
We’ll be celebrating our accomplishments of the past year including the growth of our Urban Harvest Program which now reaches over 1000 kids in 16 public schools in lower income neighborhoods – helping them learn about good food and their health, the health of their communities, and the health of the environment.
We’re also celebrating the expansion of our Snail of Approval Program which honors restaurants, markets and other food purveyors who are contributing to a good, clean, and fair food system. Take a look at the list of Snail of Approval awardees on our website and you’ll know exactly where to go the next time you want to eat out in New York City.
