Fresh off of her appearance as a featured vocalist on Arturo O’Farrill
& The Afro-Latin Orchestra’s landmark, Grammy nominated Album
“Cuba ,The Conversation Continues”, Renee brings her star studded
ensemble to the Hall at MP on March 12th.
Her performances with The Afro-Latin Orchestra,The Mingus Big

ability to navigate the worlds of Jazz,Latin, R&B, Blues and Soca as few
can. Her appearance with Jazz Legends Jimmy Heath, Dizzy Gillespie,
Jimmy Owens,TS Monk, David Amram as well as the Chico O’Farrill, Mel
Lewis and George Gruntz Big Bands are a further indication of her
mainstream jazz abilities as well.
During this engagement she continues her conversation about the “foot
on the floor.” No matter what is, it’s got to have some blues and a groove !
Renee’s ensemble is composed of veterans from diverse backgrounds
(Alumnus from Sonny Rollins ,George Benson, Charles Mingus,Taj Mahal,
Count Basie, Aretha Franklin and many others). The ensemble includes:
