Poets at the Yard

Please join us for the first installment of a new poetry reading series, held at The Yard, Williamsburg, a co-working space, Poets at the Yard seeks to expose exceptional poetry to a broader population of New York City that might be missing out.
Beer will be sponsored by Brooklyn Brewery. Cheese from Bedford Cheese Shop will be served, paired with wines from Flatiron Wines.

Russell Dillon is co-editor of Big Bell and author of the chapbook, Secret Damage and the full-length collection, Eternal Patrol, published by H_NGM_N Books in 2013. He began life in New York, continued it in San Francisco, and now continues it further in New York.
Mary Donnelly is a Brookyn-based poet whose work has appeared in Boog City, The Brooklyn Rail,DMQ Review, Hunger Mountain, Indiana Review and Iowa Review. She received an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Bennington College and a B.A. in English Literature from Columbia University. She teaches through Gotham Writers’ Workshop and is Senior Editor for the online journal failbetter. She also works as a producer and project manager for non-profit documentaries and publications.
Megin Jimenez’s poems have appeared in Barrow Street, Coconut, Denver Quarterly, La Petite Zine, Sentence, and other journals. She hosted Monday Night Poetry series at KGB Bar for several years. She works as a translator and lives in Queens.
Nicholas Adamski was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. After living abroad in Italy and India, Adamski turned his focus to New York City, where he moved in 2005 to pursue an MFA at The New School University where he met his business partner, Stephanie Berger. Together they founded the Poetry Society of New York, which creates new models for the presentation of poetry and to bring the works of New York City poets to the world. In addition to other projects, the Society hosts the New York Poetry Festival each summer on Governor’s Island. Nicholas is also the co-founder of the Poetry Brothel.
