Pinc Louds, the world famous Delancey Street subway station busking act, announce the release of their 1st EP. Friday, February 24, 8pm @ Bizarre Bar.
February 24 @ 8:00 pm - February 25 @ 2:00 am| $8
Pinc Louds, a busking mainstay at the Delancey Street Station in the Lower East Side, announced the release of their self-produced self-titled EP, and a special concert to celebrate the occasion.
The result of a year long collaboration between singer Claudi Ausbury, two Nyquils and a bottle of Merlot, the record is one part rock memoir, two-part traditional jazz, and a sprinkle of alternative doo-wop.
The EP captures the unique sense of redemption and confusion that made Pinc Louds’ live performances a sought out destination for the giddy, the needy and the unemployed.
Combining puppets and post-its, poodles and post-trauma it is a triumphant parable of strife and self-determination. Throughout the record’s five tracks, Claudi screams and whispers her myths, fairytales, recipes and wifi passwords, with a sweet and raspy voice that she promises “will lead you through the tortuous paths of my inner living room, a world where cockroaches fly, butterflies fish, and sometimes, milk and cookies are served.”
Pinc Louds have recently returned from a successful tour in South America and on Friday, February 24, 8:00pm, they will return to Bizarre Bar in Bushwick (12 Jefferson St. Brooklyn, 11206), for a very special EP release Party.
$8 will get you admission and a limited edition Metrocard with an EP redemption code. $5 will just get you into the show. $2.75 will get you a subway ride.
