Party of Two: May Edition
May 11, 2016 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm| $10
If you’ve ever watched You’ve Got Mail, Maid In Manhattan, Kate and Leopold, Serendipity, Hitch (F*CK THAT MOVIE, SERIOUSLY), or any rom-com that takes place in NYC and thought “dating in New York isn’t NEARLY this fun and sexy,” then PARTY OF TWO will be your new favorite monthly show! Hosts Vanessa Valerio and Anita Flores are bringing some of New York City’s best storytellers and comedians together to recount their absurd experiences about dating in the modern world.
DANNY ARTESE is the co-host of A Very Special Episode, a Monthly show based on 80s tv shows. He has won a
Moth StorySlam and performed at Nights of Our Lives and Talk Therapy Stories.
SHARON SPELL is a Moth Mainstage veteran and co-creator of the web series Sad Marriage. She can be seen around NYC on stage telling stories.
SAM DINGMAN is an actor, podcaster, writer, and dope rhyme-sayer in Brooklyn, NY. He performs improv and sketch comedy at the People’s Improv Theater and is a winner of the Moth GrandSLAM. His work has been featured on RISK!, SplitSider, UCB’s “A Funny Thing,” TBTL, The Billfold, the First Person Arts Festival, The Los Angeles Comedy Festival, Seattle Sketchfest, Out of Bounds Comedy Festival, and beyond.
SELENA COPPOCK is a standup comedian, writer, and storyteller based in NYC. She has been called a “dark horse audiences never see coming” by The Village Voice and an “impressive young talent” by the New York Times. Bustle called her one of the 8 Funniest Feminists on Twitter and TheFrisky ranked her one of the 25 Funniest Feminists on Twitter.
ANITA FLORES has written for Flama, Above Average, Nerve, Paste magazine, Portable TV, and Laughspin. She’s performed at The Moth, Tom Shillue’s Funny Story, and is currently on tour with Awkward Sex and the City. She has a web series called Questionable Drawings where she asks comedians weird questions and animates their responses. Follow her on Twitter at @anitajewtina for important updates on pizza and Kelsey Grammar’s career.
VANESSA VALERIO is a native from the Dominican Republic living in Brooklyn. She works as an architect in New York by day and by night she performs stories about her time living in Europe, her childhood in the Caribbean, and her crazy life as a single 30-something woman in the city. She has performed regularly at The PIT, The Moth, Tell it: Brooklyn, Tale, Underground Comedy in DC, DC Perfect Liars Show, and Speakeasy in Miami. She is the host and producer of ‘Singleling,’ a storytelling and matchmaking podcast. She is also a dating columnist for CamaraFlash.com. Follow her @thevavaspot
