For three weeks this summer, Empire Oyster‘s Master “Mermmelier” Kevin Joseph, known for his premiere oysterpop-ups, has joined with Megu owner Jon Bakhshi, to bring the ultimate oyster experience to Megu. Taking over Megu’s private dining room for a series of opulent live-shucking events, guests stand and slurp exotic oysters while topping them off with over 16 varieties of mignonettes, spirit tinctures, hot sauces, and freshly grated horseradish or wasabi. Choose from three luxurious, pre-dinner experiences: the ultimate Empire Oyster Experience: Indulge in unlimited a la carte oysters plus tastings of rare and exotic sake, wine, beer, or special cocktail, finished with a split of champagne (price varies); Imperial Oyster Experience – Prix Fixe: Unlimited oysters plus bottle of Beau Joie Special Cuvee Brut Champagne – $300 for 2*; Table Service: Sit for dinner in Megu’s main dining room and have an oyster tray delivered to you from the Mermmelier.
