OutSpokn is a one night pop-up art show. It’s place for women to break the silence surrounding personal trauma. It a place for women to heal by speaking one’s truth and sharing it with those we never thought we could. It is a release ceremony.

Organized by Rose Miner.

Rosemarie is a social and environmental activist pursuing a career in midwifery. She is inspired by empowered women and aims to hold space for women striving to be their best selves. OutSpokn was born of the ashes of a fiery and abusive relationship, one with a long, treacherous ending. The fear of being seen as a “victim” and the shame of being an abused woman isolated her. Her pain came out in poetry, words she wanted to share but didn’t. She began to open up to one woman, and then another, realizing how they had similar narratives to her own. The need for a safe community to discuss their shared experiences as survivors was clear.

The pieces showcased will include acrylic, oil, and watercolor paintings, photography, and mixed media work.
