This Black Artstory Month music showcases musicians representing various genres to reinterpret and salute African-American musicians with Brooklyn roots.

The Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership is proud to present
Black Artstory Month, celebrating the contributions that African Americans have made and are making within the arts community. The series of FREE events runs thru the end of February and includes art exhibitions, film screenings, storytelling, lectures, performances, and workshops. The events and performances coincide with Black History month and take place at the small businesses along Myrtle Avenue in Fort Greene & Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Black Artstory Month is co-presented in partnership with Aisha Cousins, Act Now Foundation, FOKUS, SONYA (South of the Navy Yard Artists), and Try Harder NYC.
