MEET BROOKLYN’S BEST! Startup Success Stores from Maker’s Row, WeDidIt, Tri-Lox and more!

Feb 19, 2014 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

| Free

One of the things we heard most loudly at last month’s Brainstorm Event was that not enough successful businesses are profiled coming from BK. So, on Wednesday, February 19th at 7pm, come join the community at the Brooklyn Law School for BKE #6: BK Startup Success Stories.

Free beer and drinks will be provided by the good Brooklynites at Lost Tribes Brew and we have collected an amazing panel of speakers from successful business spanning the tech, manufacturing, and local sectors of BK. This’ll be a chance for attendees to gain knowledge and resources on how kick ass businesses are made in BK. Please RSVP and make sure to invite one Brooklyn-based friend to come with you.

Our speakers include:

Su Sanni, CEO & Cofounder of WeDidIt

Su, from East NY Brooklyn, is the CEO of WeDidIt, a brooklyn based tech company that helps nonprofit organizations fundraise. WeDidit’s customers include Amnesty International, Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, NYC Coalition Against Hunger and Stupid Cancer. Su is currently a mentor at New York Need You, an organization that pairs high achieving first-generation college students with young professionals, who provide the students mentorship and career building skills.

Alex Bender, Co-Founder of Tri-Lox Workshop

Tri-Lox Workshop is a Brooklyn-based design and build practice and were winners of the NYC EDC’s Business Innovation Challenge grant. Tri-Lox explores and reinterprets the dynamic relationship between the built environment and those who activate it through the development of public, commercial, residential, and exhibition spaces using sustainable materials and ethical production. In collaboration with Build It Green! NYC, Tri-Lox also runs BIG!Millworks, a sawmill program for disadvantaged New Yorkers to learn the skills necessary to start a career in sustainable building industries.
