Mary Houlihan: Live ‘N’ Good
Sep 10, 2015 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm| $6
“Mary Houlihan: Live ‘N’ Good” is the first one-woman show from Brooklyn comedian Mary Houlihan (Cartoon Monsoon, Comedy Central). The fictional Mary Houlihan has written the script of a century, and will do the bravest single act a human can do: perform a one-woman show. However, it won’t be that easy. Mary’s stand-up, sketches, songs, and characters are interrupted by nefarious villains whom she must overcome in this high-stakes, life-or-death underworld of one-woman shows. Will she succeed?
Mary Houlihan is a comedian, writer, visual artist, and animator in Brooklyn, NY. She is the co-creator of “Cartoon Monsoon,” a live comedy and animation show currently running at The Annoyance Theatre. She is a writer and animator for “Saturday Morning(ish) Cartoons” for Comedy Central, and a writer/performer on “The Special Without Brett Davis” on public access. She played Lana Del Rey in the “Lana Del Race For The Cure” on “Billy On The Street.” She has performed at the Northside Festival, Brooklyn Comedy Festival, Philadelphia Five Dollar Comedy Week, and Boston Comedy Arts Festival. She curates and produces “Comedy Cassette Tape,” a compilation tape of funny songs and sketches from people all over the USA for indie label Oxtail Recordings. She makes a living selling paintings ordered by email and delivered by mail and at her shows.
