Want to learn how to make a film on a microbudget?  The Bushwick Film Festival is offering winter filmmaking workshops to filmmakers in NYC. Limited seats are available for this Tuesday’s Micro-Budgeting (rights, permits & release) taught by Pratt professor Eric Trenkamp so register now!

 

CLASS DESCRIPTION
This course covers the fundamentals of talent, location and music releases as well as when and how to acquire permits from the NYC Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre & Broadcasting.  Discussion will provide an understanding of the terminology used in these documents, the legal rights they protect, and why they are necessary from both a legal standpoint and the point of view of a potential distributor.

INSTRUCTOR: ERIC TRENKAMP, Professor of Film/Video, Pratt Institute 
Eric Trenkamp is a professor of film/video at Pratt Institute. He is also the assistant to the Department Chair, Film/Video and works with various departments across the campus to execute the mission of the Film/Video Dept. His mission is to prepare students for the realities of real-world production, including understanding copyright law and how to acquire permits, releases and insurance.
