Look at Yourself, Man: A Dude Selfie Workshop
Jan 27, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm| $5
Taking selfies can be hard for dudes. It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking selfies are just “for” teen girls, without ever considering that you might be worth photographing, too. We get it. But why shouldn’t you learn how to take selfies, and also be drunk and have fun while doing it? Taking a photo of yourself is an important skill — not just because you want to look good, but because you want other people to think (and know) you look good, too.
Dude selfies can be awesome. Just ask Tom Hardy.
That’s why after conferences on Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, and the history of boy bands, the first Drunk TED Talks* instructional workshop is a safe space for teaching dudes how to take selfies**. Led by Rachel Syme, author of the epic treatise Selfie, you’ll learn why taking a photo of yourself is important, start to understand your angles, and maybe learn something in the process.
Get drunk, play around with the settings on your phone’s camera app (and maybe try a couple of new apps), and generally have a good time. By the end of the evening, you’ll have acquired the skill set necessary to take selfies fire enough for your Tinder profile, guaranteed.
Bring a phone, your best look, and your game face.

**all dudes welcome regardless of gender and sexuality, just be willing to learn how to take better selfies, ready to help everyone feel comfortable, and patient with long discussions of optimal beard lighting
