About the Film:

Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans, directed by F.W. Murnau (Nosferatu), is considered by many to be the art of wordless cinema at its zenith. Famous for its iconic film sequences involving light and shadow, double exposure, and seamless scene transitions, the 1927 silent film stylistically fuses together the visual aesthetics of German Expressionism with an American narrative.

Bored with his wife and his simple life, a farmer falls for a city girl who convinces him to drown his wife so they can run away together. When it comes time for him to do the deed, he realizes he can’t. He follows his wife into the city after she flees from him attempting to apologize and reconcile. Eventually, as they find their way through the madness of the city, she forgives him, and they rediscover their love for one another.

The film has been digitally remastered and will be played in full HD.
