We’re excited to announce HackBushwick, a hackathon dedicated to our corner of Brooklyn! Developers, designers, and hackers of all stripes are invited to join us for a full day of creative collaboration on December 6, 2014. The hackathon will take place at Livestream Public, a brand-new, fully-equipped venue committed to engaging the local tech community.

HackBushwick brings together creative individuals in a mad sprint to develop a project from conception to completion in 6 hours. Teams will be formed at the time of the event after brief introductions. Projects will have a Bushwick theme and could take the form of websites, apps, bots, wearables, books, visualizations, and much more. At the end of the hackathon, each team will pitch its project to our judges (livestreamed!). The winning teams will take home a series of excellent prizes (TBA). More info at hackbushwick.com.

Register by November 30. Registration is free.

Everybody with an interest in building a tech-related project is welcome. (Although the event is organized by a drinking group, this isn’t [necessarily] a drinking event.) Don’t live in Bushwick? Don’t worry! Come anyway and enjoy our neck of the woods.
