Film: Oriented at the Brooklyn Museum

“Oriented” (Jake Witzenfeld, 2015, 86 min.) follows the lives of Khader, Fadi, and Naim, three gay Palestinian friends who confront their national and sexual identity while in Tel Aviv and form a cultural resistance movement. Followed by a talkback with Tarab NYC. Free tickets (310) at Admissions at 7 pm. Film begins at 8pm in the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium, 3rd floor.
This film is part of a free evening celebrating Gay Pride Month and the special exhibition “Agitprop!”. Come early (5pm) and celebrate with artists and performers that initiate social change through their practice. Highlights include the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus, performances by Queer Memoir, Studiio REV, Illuminator Project; art-making with Mobile print Power, Curator talk with Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art curators and much more.
