More About Holi In India
Holi, an ancient Hindu religious festival, is best known as the festival of colors or the festival of love. Primarily observed in India, Nepal and other regions with significant populations of Hindus, it has started to become increasingly known and popular across the world. Traditionally, the powdered colors that give the Festival of Colors its ‘color’ were made up of medicinal herbs, hence sharing a benefit in the ritual of throwing these colors at one another. Now, a completely safe and washable organic powdered color dust is or “Gulal” is used, giving the stunning and vibrant tones to the event throughout.
