An Evening with Four Way Books and Friends
Oct 1, 2015 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm| Free
Four Way Books was founded in 1993 by four writers, and now publishes up to fifteen aesthetically diverse titles annually of poetry and short fiction. Greenlight joins Four Way Books in celebrating two decades of publishing with an evening of readings. Reginald Dwayne Betts’s new collection of poems is Bastards of the Reagan Era; he is also the author of a prize-winning memoir and a previous award-winning poetry collection, and has received a Soros Justice Fellowship, a Radcliffe Fellowship, a Ruth Lilly Fellowship, and two Pushcart Prizes. Laurel Blossom is the author of the new poetry collection Longevity, as well as several previous collections of poetry including Degrees of Latitude, published by Four Way Books; she is the first Poet Laureate of Edgefield, SC, where she lives. Patrick Ryan Frank was recently a Fulbright Fellow to Iceland, where he wrote poems about melting glaciers, Norse gods, and the end of the world; his new book is The Opposite of People, and his previous collection How The Losers Love What’s Lost is also published by Four Way Books. Jenny Johnson’s poems appear in The Best American Poetry, and other publications, and she has received a 2015 Whiting Writers Award as well as awards and scholarships from the Bread Loaf Writer’s Conference, The Pittsburgh Foundation, and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. Join us for readings by all four poets.
