Escher’s Labyrinth Halloween Eve Party

Kostume Kult, the leading arts collective in the Costume Culture movement, throws its annual Halloween extravaganza. This year’s theme, “Escher’s Labrynth,” mashes the surrealistic world of M.C. Escher with the Glam-Goth of Jim Henson’s Labyrinth, as we present a journey through the many dark, creepy corners of Slake. Beware the Goblins!
Prepare yourself for music, monsters and mayhem in many rooms, all designed to confuse and amaze on Mischief Night, Halloween Eve. Take part in a number of wickedly fun, creative activities and dance with New York’s best electronic music DJs.
Tickets available online or at the door. Costumes of any sort are required. 21+

Henson’s Labyrinth is a coming-of-age story of a young woman. Lost innocence, rebellion, strange creatures, risqué masked balls and a mysterious Goblin King doling out forbidden fruit. Enter this labyrinth in whatever Halloween costume you dare, with a special presentation at midnight – the witching hour!
Kostume Kult is a project of Costume Cultural Society, a non-profit that supports year-round costuming and other participatory art forms, creative events, street theater and related media projects, including an annual float in the Halloween Parade and the premier fashion camp at the Burning Man arts festival.
