| $25.00
DrinkLocalBeerWeek

Beer — drinking it, brewing it and selling it — has played a major role in the development of our fair city. Grab a pint and pull up a chair as this panel of beer experts explore NYC’s rich brewing history, from the defining waves of European immigration through Prohibition and into today’s slow food movement, painting a picture of a tenacious, deeply rooted and well satiated industry.

On February 24th, popular craft beer bog Beerded Ladies is teaming up with Brooklyn’s newest bottleshop, Covenhoven, to present DRINK LOCAL: NYC BEER AND BREWING HISTORY, a panel discussion to celebrate NYC Beer Week!

Panelists include:
Joshua M. Bernstein, author of The Complete Beer Course: Boot Camp for Beer Geeks: From Novice to Expert”
David Naczycz, owner of Urban Oyster
Sam Richardson, brewer & co-owner of Other Half Brewing Company in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn
Ben Wiley, co-owner of Bar Great Harry, Mission Dolores,The Owl Farm Bar & Glorietta Baldy
Moderated by Meredith Heil, writer and founder of local beer blog, Beerded Ladies.

The event takes place at Covenhoven, 730 Classon Avenue in Brooklyn. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online here: http://bit.ly/DrinkLocalNYC. Admission includes a sneak peek into Brooklyn’s newest craft beer bar (slated to open to the public in March, 2014), a generous sampling of draft beer and tasty snacks. Doors open at 7PM, with a reception to follow.
