Jason Tudor’s solo exhibition Drawings of Free Invention will be displayed at The Habitat. Opening reception is September 4th at 7pm. The show runs through October 2nd. Tudor begins each piece with freeform intuitive drawings, echoing patterns found in the natural world to create a rhythmic composition of lines, shapes, and motifs. Rather than working towards a predetermined composition, he lets the drawing grow organically, encouraging adventitiousness and allowing for serendipitous reconstructions.

He then digitalizes these images and by combining, interlacing, mirroring, and resizing many drawings together, he reinterprets the patterns of our natural world to create intricate new worlds of his own, opening up a unique realm of arrangements and investigating uncharted territories of space, form, and color.
