Confronting a Southern White Past

Sep 27, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

| $10.00

Two southern natives, authors Edward Ball and Karen Branan, discovered dark truths about their ancestors that became the substance of powerful books. Ball’s Slaves in the Family unravels a tale of a family that owned thousands of slaves, while Branan’s The Family Tree: A Lynching in Georgia, a Legacy of Secrets, and My Search for the Truth, follows her journey to uncover a hideous crime. Join them for an intimate conversation, moderated by New York Times journalist Rachel Swarns.
